I don't know what it was about the filming of the first Predator that has led some of the cast into a political carreer, but it seems more then a couple have opted for a job in the political field, rather than running around a Guatemalan rain forest. Perhaps, the leadership of director John McTiernan was highly inspiring. Whatever the case, a few examples of the politically savvy actors are:
Arnold Schwarzenegger; aka Maj. Alan "Dutch" Schaefer. Now Governor of California.
Jesse "The Body" Ventura; aka Sgt. Blain Cooper. Mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota (1991-1995); Governor of Minnesota (1998-2002)
Sonny Landham; aka Lt. Billy Sole. Running for a Senate seat for the state of Kentucky.
With such a rich history perhaps they should start showing the movie in political science ivy league college courses.
Now I'm just waiting for Carl Weathers (aka Maj. George Dillion) to get into the political ring. I'm Sure He would make a great future governor of Louisiana.
